Paper Quilled Hedgehog and Jute Quilled Tree

Quilling with Natural Materials

        I saw this type of filigree with jute in a Russian web site .
i tried it with green jute   .

                                                                                     

                                                                               

                                                                             

 I took a print out of the Christmas clip art 
laid a  plastic sheet over it     ,
cut the jute to desired length rolled it with finger 
and stuck it with glue to the plastic sheet ..
left it to dry for a while and 
gently removed it from the sheet and stuck it to the card .
..
 for the trees base i used a piece of jute ,then removed it and 
replaced it with paper base .

i love to quill animals ,,even though i had strips of Pre cut papers !!!
i love to recycle :))
light  brown papers are from ............primark paper bag ..
dark brown from left over construction paper .

Quilled Kitten.

                      Quilled Kitten Especially for you card ,made for a special Friend .
as usual iv'e used few recycled materials in the card .
a pink bow from a price tag 
brown piece of card from  a chocolate box  cut with design scissors to
 stick the sentiment .
and the brown flower is from Mangustan fruit ...just added a pearl bead to the Center.

Quilled Dora and Boots :)

Made this card for a little girl 

 i asked her mom what was her favorite cartoon character 

she mentioned Dora the explorer and Boots:))

             


                                     
i printed out the background from Disney .com free printables    .
I haven't seen these cartoons but my daughter showed a picture 
and i tried my level best .for the eyes i printed out a picture of Doras face 
and cut the eyes alone  and used it on the quilled face      ..

 i printed out a scene from free landscape images ,but cant  remember
 from which site (

made the smoke with beehive technique and put a number 3 ,inside that 
nephew is turning 3 ..his name is Joash ..

Quilling Guild AGM and competition 
My little one won second place in her age category .
she made this Quilled Peace Dove for the competition

in our town conduct flower festival ,based on a biblical theme.
