the papers were cut from brown wrapping paper.

the leaves were cut from an old green color card
the card was thicker  than the normal construction paper,so i had to make the

Peacock Feather a Quilled Card

I love Peacock feathers .the colors and texture
    have always inspired me .
i came across two quilled cards .i decided to do something different to
them.and now i can say this is my idea .
i did not have the exact colors so i cut them from a note book
and they've turned out well .
and the green papers are pre cut ones that have a golden edges.

                                                          golden edges

                                              the other side of papers

i hardly buy precut papers .the above ones ,i received from a friend .
thanks so much for your lovely kind comments .

Happy Pongal /quilled card

                                       PONGAL WISHES

Pongal is a popular harvest festival in Tamil nadu.     Pongal starts on January 14 of each year.  The celebration lasts for three days.  the main activity involves people from the entire village. Neighbors get together for a community feast to share their crops and give thanks to all who have contributed to a successful harvest.

Happy Pongal  to my blogger friends .
